The Estrada de Quarteira is a road connecting Loule to the coastal resort of Quarteira and Vilamoura. It descends from the interior hills through increasingly developed terrain to reach the coast. The road carries significant traffic, particularly in summer, as it provides access from the EN125 and A22 to the Vilamoura resort, Quarteira town, and the surrounding golf courses and hotels. Commercial development along the road includes restaurants, garden centres, and holiday rental offices. The route offers a visible transition from the rural Algarve interior to the developed coastal strip.
